CSCS offers two printer related services:
Departments who opt for our network connection service will be given an allocated IP address on the CSCS network for their printer. The printer should automatically pick up the address. As an unsupported printer, CSCS cannot provide any assistance in configuring the printer to use the network, or in configuring computers or laptops to print to the printer. Please note that a network connection service will not provide SMTP access so scan to email services will not work.
Departments who opt for the the Printer Support service for printers with a Network Connection will be provided with a managed print service including support for the printer hardware and a queue on our print server for easy installation of the printer on client computers. It also provides access to SMTP services for scan to email functionality.
