UIS have advised us that all Cambridge users of Eduroam need to update their login on ALL of their connected devices as soon as possible in order to continue using the service after 08:00 Thursday 10th January 2019.
This update affects all users of the Eduroam service that log on with @cam.ac.uk credentials. As per their email:
The Eduroam Wi-Fi security certificate will be replaced at 08:00 on Thursday 10 January. You’ll need to update your Eduroam login on all of your devices (laptops, tablets, mobiles) to stay connected to the service after the certificate update. You can do this at any time before or after the update, though we recommend doing this as soon as possible before the deadline to ensure that you do not suffer a loss of connectivity. Updating your credentials requires you to download a utility, therefore it is much simpler to do while still connected via Eduroam.
Instructions are available on the UIS Help site: https://help.uis.cam.ac.uk/eduroamupdate
If you have any queries about Eduroam, please contact the UIS Service Desk at servicedesk@uis.cam.ac.uk.
If you are reading this after the expiry, then we recommend temporarily using the UniofCam wireless (which you can connect to using Raven credentials) to connect your device and follow the instructions.
Please note that visitors that log into Eduroam using credentials from other institutions do not need to update their settings and can ignore this message.
