There was a brief network outage this morning from 08:20 – 08:30, which was traced to the hardware that links the Clinical School network to the larger Cambridge University Data Network, which restarted unexpectedly. We will be commencing emergency investigative work this evening from 18:00. Although network downtime is not expected, there is a risk during this time that equipment may need to be restarted to resolve the issue.
Internal connectivity, e.g. computer login, mail or network drive access will not be affected during this period.
Potentially Affected Services: Outgoing access to the Internet or CUDN via wired or wireless networks. Phone systems. Incoming remote access services such as webmail, VPN, or MINTS anywhere.
